It removes the commute and lets you test the waters before committing to anything deeper.
Where AI Kids Lab is built for something different
We're not trying to be a broad, always-on coding curriculum for every age. We run one thing well: a focused, in-person cohort where a 9 to 15 year old spends real hours building an actual AI-powered project — a chatbot, an image classifier, a simple AI-powered game, or a recommendation tool — with a mentor who has done this kind of work professionally. Fifteen seats per cohort is a constraint we keep on purpose, not a waitlist tactic.
The question isn't which platform has more lessons. It's what your child can point to and say, "I built this," at the end.
How to decide
- If your child is very new to screens and logic, and you want a flexible, low-stakes first step — an online model can be a fine on-ramp.
- If your child already has some exposure and you want them to walk away with a real, demonstrable AI project and hands-on mentorship — an in-person, project-based cohort is built for exactly that.
